General Overview

Electricity (Power)

The power required is either one of the following: 3 phase * 110/220volt 60 HZ Or, 3 phase * 380 volt 50 HZ Or, 3 phase * 440 volt 60 HZ If, required we may use a step-up or step down transformer to bring the above as per the local electricity supply specification.

Moving Parts

The Parking systems are planned for zero failures (as in automobile manufacture). Maintenance should be planned according to a preventive maintenance system (as in airplanes). For example, the producer of a certain part recommends for normal life of the specific part to be saying 10,000 working hours. After 7500 working hours there will appear a flashing warning on the screen of the computer, marking the place and catalogue number of the parts to be replaced, which can be changed within a few hours. One must take into account that there are relatively small numbers of moving parts. Unlike other parking systems, our parking structure is a dead structure as compared to those systems where one has a moving installation which travels between two rows, lifts the car, and places it to the left or right. In alternate systems, every parking space has moving parts.

Parts Replacement

In the same way as for planned servicing, should there be a faulty part for any reason, the computer will show a flashing warning, marking the place and catalogue number of the faulty part. Our parking systems are planned in such a way that access to parts, which may have to be replaced, is very easy and any parts can be replaced within hours.

Cost of Parts

Knowing our parking system designs, the numbers of spare parts are bare minimum. The costs of spare parts are negligible and can be manufactured or purchased locally.

Speed

In theory, the duration for parking the car averages about 40 seconds. However, in practice he personal factor has a great influence on the duration of accepting / discharging the car. The Simplex system is compatible with all known systems-mechanical and computerized. There is no connection between speed and the size of the parking system, since each lobby operates, number of lobbies increases, as there is at least one independent lift per minute. The length of the row obviously affects the time it takes to park or retrieve. Though marginal, as the carrier takes time to accelerate and decelerate once it is moving at full speed, it can achieve a speed of upto 2 meters per second.

Environmentally Friendly

Conventional parking garages require special ventilation and air attraction units to remove carbon monoxide caused by the car exhaust when driving in the parking garage. The gases thereby extracted are simply pumped into external environment, creating an ecological hazard. Our objective is obviously to prevent this and is a very significant factor in polluted urban areas. The additional environmental advantages are all by-products of the above. In other words, the fact that each row has its own elevator gives more immediate access to a greater number of cars at any one point in time as compared to other automatic systems. This thereby cuts down carbon monoxide emission whilst the cars are waiting to enter the parking lot.
